Pes insert 5 um

PES filter insert about fineness 5 µm is designated as fine filter cartridge for sanitary cassette filter 20". It is mainly used as the next filter stage after coarser filtration (e.g. titanium insert 20 µm) and serves to remove fine mechanical impurities, turbidity and residual particles.

Material PES (Polyethersulfone) is a proven filter material with very good chemical and temperature resistance, suitable for food and brewing. The insert is intended for disposable or limited re-use according to operating conditions and degree of clogging.

A typical use of a 5 µm insert is:

• fine filtration after pre-filtration,

• filtration before the next technological operation (cooling, pasteur),

• protection of finer and sterile filters (e.g. 1 µm / 0.45 µm).

The insert is suitable for filtering beer, wine, cider and other food liquids and fits into the normal multi-stage filtration in the brewery.
